Behavioral Health Specialist

Eklego is proud to be assisting Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio in their search for a Behavioral Health Clinician. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective and quality behavioral health and case management services to clients.
- Deliver individualized, integrated services addressing the holistic needs of clients, including healthcare, mental health, substance abuse treatment, and supportive services.
- Establish services based on health intervention screening tools, including PHQ-2, PHQ-9, SBIRT, and others.
- Ensure prompt delivery of strength-based therapeutic services, including individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Foster coordination among supportive services, medical, vision, dental, and psychiatric staff to ensure client-focused, integrated healthcare.
- Link clients with community resources for long-term support.
- Provide and/or interpret initial diagnostic biopsychosocial assessments.
- Determine behavior health needs using appropriate screening tools.
- Coordinate and link clients with substance use disorder treatment and/or mental health services.
- Develop treatment plans based on diagnosis.
- Maintain clear and precise data and progress notes.
- Travel within the community to provide community-based services.
- Provide ongoing clinical services, including individual psychotherapy, group facilitation, and case management using evidence-based therapy modalities.
- Participate in weekly team huddles to review cases enrolled in the medication-assisted treatment program.
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation by providing leadership and modeling professional problem-solving behavior.
- Supervise student interns to enhance their educational experience.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- Licensed by Ohio CSWMFT Board as an LPC, LSW, LMFT, or Ohio Psychology Board as a Psychologist.
- Conducting diagnostic assessments is required.
- Preferred one year of experience in the human services field.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health disorders, substance abuse disorder, or co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.
