Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing client and driver activities, ensuring seamless communication and instructions, and maintaining accurate documentation for equipment pick-up and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule with customers regarding delivery and pick-up of equipment.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding freight details, delivery or pick-up times, special handling requests, and important notices.
  • Monitor driver location and performance on routes.
  • Promptly notify customers of potential delays and issues in advance.
  • Prepare dispatch documents and generate freight bills and invoices.
  • Address minor delivery and pick-up issues raised by drivers, customers, and brokers.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate, organized, and detailed records.
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles to appropriate locations.
  • Relay information via phone, email, or text message.
  • Speak with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services, or equipment.
  • Organize work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, and expenses for services performed.
  • Assist in training new drivers on processes.
  • Ensure daily driver paperwork is accurate and inputted correctly.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding transportation-associated issues.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One (1) year or more experience in a related field.
  • Operations background in logistics and/or transportation.
  • Meets corporate competency model requirements.
  • Organization skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow work procedures.
  • Communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to build professional relationships.
  • Practical learning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
