Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, including administering medications, performing various medical procedures, and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
