Paralegal Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our Bay Area/Emeryville, CA office. As a member of our litigation team, you will assist attorneys and their teams in preparing for trials by performing tasks such as client meetings, legal drafting, and research.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with all phases of litigation from onset through trial;
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents;
• File summonses and complaints, and work with vendors to effectuate service;
• Prepare discovery requests and responses;
• Coordinate and schedule depositions;
• Track and monitor client files, calendars, and provide status updates;
• Perform extensive internal and online legal research (court rules and procedures);
• Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and court staff.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in litigation or a related field;
• Paralegal degree or certificate preferred;
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines;
• Highly organized and detail-oriented;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits and Compensation

The firm offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
