About the Role: As a Clinical Coordinator with US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and operations within our Peoria clinic. Your primary focus will be scheduling follow-up appointments, tests, and scans, while also handling select billing functions such as collecting co-pays and co-insurances. Strong communication skills are essential to coordinate with patients, providers, and administrative teams to achieve timely and accurate results.

Responsibilities:
• Schedule appointments for follow-up office visits, scans, and laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with standard policy and procedures.
• Coordinate with patients to communicate instructions for tests and confirm scheduled appointment times.
• Record scheduled appointments in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, accurately capturing diagnostic order forms and scanning encounter forms as needed.
• Perform select billing functions, including collecting co-pays and co-insurances, and code-capturing the patient's office visit.
• Confirm lab and imaging diagnostic codes, entering them into the EMR system and coordinating with providers to ensure accuracy.
• Reschedule missed or changed appointment times, communicating and confirming new times with patients and recording updates in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with the Administrative Assistant to maintain up-to-date consult, vacation, and on-call schedules.
• Work closely with the Scheduler Coordinator to manage physician schedules, providing cross-coverage for Medical Office Assistants as needed.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 3 years of experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) is highly valued.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.

Earnings: $48,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience.
