We are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse Leader to join our team at Shawneespring, a state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility located on the border of OH/KY/IN.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $29-$42 per hour, based on LPN/RN licensure and experience. Additionally, we offer shift differentials for evening and weekend shifts, as well as daily pay options.

Job Description

The Charge Nurse Leader will be responsible for providing direct care to patients, overseeing the management of the nursing unit, and supervising nurse associates. This includes administering medication and treatment per physician orders, instructing and observing care implementation, and assisting in the admission/discharge process.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the responsibility for the total patient care within the nursing unit, and the management of the unit.
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients.
  • Carry out administrative and patient care duties as directed by the ADON or DON.
  • Supervise and assume responsibility for the actions and care delivered by the nurse associates, including monitoring and responding to all policies and procedures regarding such duties.
  • Administer medication and treatment per the Physician orders specific to the patient.
  • Instruct and observe care is implemented per the physician/clinician or based on standard of practice.
  • Assist and direct in the admission/discharge process of patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a current license in the state in which he/she is practicing.
  • Maintains Licensure (completes CE requirements) and CPR certification.
  • Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff, and families.
  • Possesses good organizational skills and follow-up when patient situations require.
