At TotalMed, we offer an exciting opportunity for a Critical Care Transition Specialist to join our team.

Salary

$1,890.03 per week

About the Role

This role involves providing specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care units to general medical-surgical settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit
  • Administering medications, performing procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educating patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license
  • BLS certification (other certifications may be required by the facility)
  • Two years of recent experience in Step Down care
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
