Responsibilities and Expectations

Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training.

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in creating job descriptions and posting job openings, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  2. Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns in a timely manner, facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes between employees, conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
  3. Performance Management: Support the performance appraisal process, provide guidance to managers and employees, assist in setting performance goals and development plans, and monitor and report on employee performance trends.
  4. Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases, and assist with audits and prepare reports as needed.
  5. HR Policies and Procedures: Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures, communicate policy changes and ensure employees are informed and compliant, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and management.
  6. Employee Benefits and Compensation: Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, support compensation planning and job evaluations, and address employee questions regarding benefits and compensation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a similar area of study.
  2. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  3. Experience actively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, and various other job boards.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
  6. The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. The ability to accept feedback and implement improvements promptly and consistently.
  8. The ability to identify routine requirements and fulfill those requirements on a regular basis with prompting or additional requests.
  9. The ability to identify issues and contribute to process improvements.
