The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to join our team as a Clinical Research Nurse. You'll work collaboratively with physicians, Clinical Research Associates (CRA), and pharmacists to coordinate care for patients enrolled in IRB clinical research trials.

  • Assess, manage, and coordinate care across the continuum of care (outpatient, inpatient, and home) including triage of phone calls and proactive patient communication.
  • Educate patients and families on clinical trial treatments and required testing.

As a successful candidate, you'll collaborate with the investigator to ascertain study patient eligibility for clinical trials, assess and document signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, and changes in physical or psychological condition.

You'll also manage patient/family phone calls, collaborating with MD, NP, and/or PA as needed to obtain orders for patient management, and ensure the consent process is performed in compliance with institutional, FDA, IRB, clinical trial sponsor, and other applicable regulations.

Your Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A BSN degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in oncology, clinical research, research, ICU, pediatrics, case management, or nurse navigation.
  • Human subjects protection training (can be completed after hire).
  • A current California RN License.
  • An American Heart Association BLS Certification.
