Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Facilities Management to lead our healthcare facilities operations in the Greater Pittsburgh area. As a strategic leader, you will ensure that our facilities, systems, and infrastructure support the delivery of high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement long-term strategies for facilities management, aligning with the overall vision of the healthcare system.
  • Facilities Operations: Provide leadership for all facilities functions, including Engineering, Plant Operations, and Grounds Maintenance, ensuring compliance with TJC, OSHA, and Life Safety standards.
  • Sustainability & Innovation: Lead efforts in energy management and sustainability, identifying cost-saving opportunities while reducing the environmental impact of facilities operations.
  • Construction & Renovation Management: Oversee construction and renovation projects, collaborating with architects and healthcare leadership, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Budget Oversight: Establish and manage departmental budgets and expenditures, driving cost-efficiency across all projects.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Ensure readiness for emergencies, managing air, water, power, and other vital systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Patient Care Support: Ensure all facility operations support patient safety and comfort, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: 7+ years in facilities management with experience in healthcare, engineering, or business operations.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in managing HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of TJC, OSHA, and Life Safety standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client relationships.
