Banquet Houseperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson to join our team at Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of meetings and events, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

• Event Setup and Execution
  • Review event orders and assignment sheets to determine function requirements
  • Assure that all cleaning duties are completed, including doors, door frames, walls, air walls, and assigned areas
  • Complete cleaning inspections for each meeting room and assigned area
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and excellent condition of equipment and surrounding work areas
• Guest Service and Communication
  • Communicate promptly to all guest requests
  • Assure that inventory is kept and report any lost items to supervisors/managers
  • Report any and all guest request changes to Banquet Manager/Conference Coordinators
• Equipment Maintenance and Safety
  • Assure that all equipment is kept in clean working condition
  • Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Comply with required safety regulations and procedures

• Exceptional guest service skills
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 100 pounds repetitively during entire shift
• Ability to push, pull, or otherwise move portable table/chair cart units from storage area to function rooms
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods at a time

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One+ years experience as Set Houseperson in a high-volume, upscale hotel
