Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Outpatient Mental Health Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, organize, document, and evaluate program activities and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve program outcomes and patient care.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a nurse manager or in a leadership role in a mental health setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience working with homeless veterans or in a similar population.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and research in mental health nursing.
