About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Williams-Sonoma South Coast Plaza. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a positive and engaging store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for all customers
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and returns
  • Maintain a clean and organized cash wrap area, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues
  • Engage with customers, offering personalized service and making product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior retail experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
