Safety Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Consolidated Precision Products. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and develop corrective action plans.
- Develop and implement occupational health and safety programs and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and instructions to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Evaluate the impact of emerging issues, regulations, and legislation on company operations and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Investigate injuries and incidents using root cause analysis methods and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety and/or Industrial Hygiene duties, performing health and safety risk assessments, developing, and managing safety programs, and performing audits in an industrial environment.
- GSP (General Safety Professional), ASP (Associate), CSP (Certified) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) certification.
- Experience with addressing occupational health and safety hazards related to foundries.
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements.
- Leadership experience, leading teams, or projects to successful completion.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
