About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Entry-Level Civil Highway Engineer to join our team in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our transportation team, you will contribute to the design and development of medium to large-scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop design criteria, horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail design, and spot elevation details.
  • Prepare signing and pavement marking plans and details.
  • Develop construction phasing plans and develop maintenance of traffic based on interdisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews.
  • Identify utility conflicts based on interdisciplinary constructability reviews, client feedback, and utility needs.
  • Develop construction quantities and cost estimates.
  • Implement 3D CADD modeling techniques.
  • Develop technical reports, tables, and graphics per client and/or internal AECOM standards.
  • Adhere to and promote AECOM quality procedures.
  • Prepare presentations that explain technical findings, recommendations, and limitations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering program.
  • Valid US Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software programs.
  • Familiarity with OpenRoads and/or Civil3D software programs.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification registered in any state.
  • Ability and willingness to operate within a hybrid work environment with hybrid teams.
  • Ability to utilize spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software.
  • Relevant experience, including internship and/or co-op programs.
