About the Role

Lumen is seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to join our team. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities, providing product solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with acquired and/or existing customers to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, attain additional business, and retain existing revenue.
  • Identify, bid on, negotiate, and close new sales opportunities to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Lumen's entire product suite and provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts.
  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
  • Provide input to sales management about trends and changes taking place within the customer's organization, and make recommendations about future courses of action necessary for Lumen to improve its position with the customer.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry sales experience.
  • Minimum skills required to perform in this role.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$107,500 - $143,330 in these states: NC.
