Job Summary

The Surgery Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for surgeries and procedures at the ambulatory surgery center or hospital.

This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for surgeries and procedures
  • Educate patients on procedure locations, times, and logistics
  • Facilitate scheduling of outpatient testing, including laboratory testing, EKG, and pre-operative H&P
  • Book, coordinate, and reschedule patients' surgical appointments as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures, medical terminology, and insurance practices
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
