Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for a Certified Surgical Technician at our center is $65,000-$85,000 based on national averages for similar positions in the Smyrna, Tennessee area.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced surgical staff to provide safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain asepsis and sterile techniques to prevent infection and promote optimal healing.
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, sponges, and other necessary materials according to surgeon preferences.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Registered Surgical Technologist (CRT) is preferred but not required.
- At least one year of experience working in an operating room environment, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center setting.
- BLS certification upon hire (online certification not accepted).
