We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Safety Representative to join our team at Butterball, LLC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of our employees and maintaining a safe working environment.

Job DescriptionThis position involves directing safety activities during the sanitation shift in our processing plant location. You will supervise training staff to ensure compliance with directives and procedures, monitor and implement safety programs, and provide oversight for organization-wide safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate sanitation safety programs, policies, procedures, facilities, and equipment to identify potential risks and implement safeguards and solutions.
- Conduct routine internal audits to ensure all employees are knowledgeable and aware of all safety requirements and follow established policies and procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with all levels of employees to drive the importance of safety and protection.
- Conduct safety training for sanitation shift workers, review and recommend continued training and education on safe and efficient work methods.
- Review accidents and incidents, analyze root causes, and instruct supervisors on root cause analysis.
- Manage incident corrective actions, coordinate and follow up to ensure modifications/improvements are completed within established time frames.
- Develop, maintain, and modify safety procedures, including job safety analysis for sanitation positions.
- Prior experience in safety supervision/management or a degree in Environmental Health or Health and Safety.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision, manage various priorities simultaneously, and use computers for data collection, analysis, and presentations.
- Basic knowledge of Industrial Hygiene practices, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and more.
