Job Summary:

The Physical Therapy Manager at CarolinaEast Health System is responsible for overseeing the management and supervision of physical therapy staff across various departments, including Acute, Inpatient Rehab, and Outpatient Therapy.

He/she works closely with the rehabilitation leadership team to achieve the goals and objectives set for the rehabilitation program.

The Physical Therapy Manager is responsible for organizing and implementing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part.

He/she serves as a role model and resource to the physical therapy staff, ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are carried out with empathy and compassion towards patients and their families as well as co-workers.


Requirements:

A BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), or equivalent, is required.

Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of North Carolina as a Physical Therapist, with a minimum of three years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist and two years of supervisory experience preferred.

The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients' status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
