Patient Access Department Manager

* Manage and coordinate department activities for assigned Patient Access areas
* Act as a resource for internal and external customers, delivering exceptional service
* Maintain current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements (Joint Commission, CMS, HIPAA, EMTALA, etc.)
* Lead process improvement and initiatives for problem solving
* Cultivate a positive team approach and participate in benchmarking to ensure assigned areas meet departmental goals
* Develop and implement new policies and procedures to improve workflow and effectiveness of the department

* Previous management experience required
* Experience with software and systems used in the department preferred
* Previous experience in the healthcare field preferred
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred

* Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
* Self-starter, ability to work independently, highly motivated and organized, requiring little direction
* Good investigative and problem-solving skills necessary
* Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and requirements, able to coordinate and prioritize different activities simultaneously
