About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Senior Therapist Leader to join our team at Emerald Charter Schools in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Job Summary

The Senior Therapist Leader will be responsible for providing speech and language diagnostic and therapy services to scholars in accordance with state and federal regulations and standards of practice as set forth by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate assigned scholars in accordance with established standards of care and practice, identifying needs and strengths that reflect an accurate assessment of scholar's status.
  • Develop and implement interventions and specific measurable outcomes consistent with identified needs and strengths, updating the plan of care based on scholar progress and caregiver input.
  • Provide skilled therapy, reassessing scholar status during each session ensuring quality of care, selecting and performing therapeutic techniques appropriate to scholar's needs and medical status.
  • Document services per department standards, meeting all competencies for work-specific assignments evidenced by successful completion of area-specific competency checklist(s).
  • Promote and maintain professional relationships with others internal and external to caregiving, proactively seeking performance feedback and identifying approaches to improve performance.

Requirements

  • A Tennessee License and any needed endorsements.
  • Meet highly qualified status for area(s), with experience preferred but not required.
  • Possess a passion for the work itself, thrive in an innovative environment, and work collaboratively to form creative solutions.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset, flexibility to learn new methods, and present ideas to improve learning and the school.
  • Believe all kids can learn and achieve at high academic levels.
