We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at the Midtown Health Center. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Role

This position will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals by performing clinical and clerical duties under the general supervision of the Nursing Manager. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and vaccines accurately and document in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Manage medication inventory, including supply management, disbursement, distribution, use, and destruction of agency medications, samples, vaccines, and related supplies.
  • Process and store items at designated locations accurately.
  • Maintain records of supplies and materials.
  • Serve as the Vaccine for Children program coordinator, responsible for vaccine monitoring, ordering, and inventory control.
  • Provide clinical services, including verifying patient information, supporting health care providers during examinations, preparing laboratory specimens, and performing basic laboratory tests.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • Medication Aide Certification required.
  • Two years of experience in a medical office or related field preferred.
  • Current certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to utilize own transportation for work purposes.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a busy clinical environment, exposing them to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical setting. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
