Job Overview

Avenues Recovery Center, a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers, is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician to lead daily residential operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ability to manage teams, and ensure client engagement and morale in a warm and positive recovery environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily residential operations including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
  • Train and support BHT team in operations and responsibilities.
  • Escalate concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
  • Oversee client compliance with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
  • If in recovery, minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
  • Dignified, honest character modeling recovery principles.

Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel is a 40-bed residential facility offering detox and inpatient rehabilitation services.

Nestled on 5.19 acres of the beautiful Poconos mountains, this homey yet modern establishment provides an ideal setting for clients to cleanse themselves of harmful substances and embark on their journey to sustained recovery.

With round-the-clock supervision and care, our clients' every need is met with dignity and compassion before it arises.

Our dedicated staff includes skilled primary therapists and clinicians, nurse practitioners, addictions counselors, and behavioral health technicians creating a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental atmosphere fostering openness and healing.
