Job Overview

We are seeking an Armenian & Russian Interpreter to join our team as a Language and Cultural Specialist II. This role will provide interpreting services in a culturally sensitive manner to facilitate communication and the relaying of medical information between speakers of different languages at CHLA.


About the Role

The successful candidate will have 2+ years' experience interpreting and translating in a healthcare setting, including experience working with diverse cultural/socio-economic backgrounds. They will be competent in written and verbal communication skills in English and the designated foreign language, with the ability to translate and interpret medical terminology.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide interpreting services in a culturally sensitive manner to facilitate communication and the relaying of medical information between speakers of different languages at CHLA.
  • Translate and interpret medical terminology, patient instructions, and medication schedules.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members in the delivery of care.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
