High Tech High, a forward-thinking institution in San Diego County, California, is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Midday Administrator.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and positive environment during lunch and recess periods. As Midday Administrator, you will be responsible for supervising students, enforcing school policies, and providing support as needed.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage and supervise groups of children effectively. You should be patient, empathetic, and have a positive attitude towards working with students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lunch and recess periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Address and resolve minor conflicts and behavioral issues among students in a fair and consistent manner.
- Ensure that students adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, including maintaining appropriate behavior in designated areas.
- Provide assistance to students as needed, including helping with opening lunch containers, ensuring they have access to necessary resources, and offering support in the event of minor accidents or injuries.
- Enforce school policies and procedures regarding student conduct and report any significant issues or incidents to the appropriate school staff.
Working at High Tech High:

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or recreational setting is preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
This is an hourly position. The estimated salary for this role is $20-$25 per hour, based on the location and requirements of the position.
