About the Role

As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will be working alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in various phases of the design and construction process. This internship provides valuable exposure to structural analysis, modeling, and design while allowing you to contribute ideas and solutions that enhance project efficiency and integrity.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with seasoned engineers on structural projects during design, analysis, and construction phases.
  • Conduct structural analysis, simulations, and calculations using Revit, RAM, and RISA tools.
  • Use Revit to assist in creating structural drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections, gaining practical insights into construction processes.
  • Contribute to team discussions and problem-solving efforts, bringing fresh perspectives to the project.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
  • Completion of at least 90 credits, including two or more design courses (e.g., concrete, steel, wood, or masonry) by the start of the internship.
  • Basic knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals (e.g., free body diagrams, P/V/M diagrams).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical and organizational abilities, with an ability to work collaboratively.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
