Electrical Sales and Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Union Technology Corp. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills in sales and business development to drive growth and success within our organization.

Job DescriptionThis role will be pivotal in managing sales operations, formulating strategic sales plans, and steering our sales team towards surpassing sales goals. As an Electrical Sales and Business Development Manager, you will work closely with customers to grow and promote the sale of our products. You will be the first line of contact with customers and will work to establish and maintain long-term business relationships with the new and current customer base.
Main Responsibilities:- Identify opportunities and deploy best practice business capture techniques to support business growth
- Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively
- Engage in basic technical discussions with Customers and other industry professionals
- Familiarity with Salesforce is highly regarded.
- Display tenacity and grit in driving initial opportunities to sample testing and ultimately to PO bookings
- Takes initiative to acquire information and resolve issues in product acceptance at the Customer
- Be relentlessly curious in gathering data to seek out opportunities, applications and Customer contacts
- Exhibit a hunger to win and drive opportunities to closure
- Work with the engineering team to ensure customer project requirements are met
- Work with GM and Sales Team on pricing and territory strategies
- Work closely with various departments, such as engineering, product development, and marketing, to synchronize sales strategies with broader company goals and provide support on market development.
- Work with Operations and Engineering personnel to ensure development and completion of sample parts or other information required by Customers in pursuit of new business.
- Recommend and attend key tradeshows, including preparation of collateral, displays, and other information as well as nurture leads afterward to expose new business opportunities
- Communicate sales or service opportunities and customer concerns or suggestions
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding customer interactions
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, Electrical engineering, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within the aerospace and defense industry, is required. A proven track record in selling electrical components and managing intricate sales processes is essential. Robust program management abilities with a knack for handling and executing multiple projects concurrently are also necessary. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are required. Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill business requirements is a must.
SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
