Clinical Nurse II

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. This role will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients
- Perform professional nursing duties that incorporate the psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other
- Evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of plan of care, and readiness for discharge
- Act as a role model and mentor to students and nurses new to the unit
- Function as a Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager
- Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a direct patient care position in a Psychiatric inpatient or outpatient setting
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within 30 days of hire
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
- RN
- BLS
- Background Check and Live Scan
