As a skilled Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our inpatient and ambulatory care settings. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting medication orders, preparing compounds, and dispensing medications. You will also provide information to healthcare practitioners to promote the rational use of medications and participate in teaching programs for hospital staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret medication orders and prescriptions to ensure completeness, safety, and rationality
Prepare compounds and dispense medications for inpatient and ambulatory care use
Provide information to healthcare practitioners to promote the rational use of medications
Participate in teaching programs for hospital staff
Requirements:
B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D., NYS license and registration, or equivalent experience required. Previous hospital experience preferred.
Work Environment:
This role requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional night shifts may be required.
