Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the entire operation of a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality care and services are provided to residents.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and committees to address resident care issues and improve unit operations.
  • Manage staffing patterns and census to ensure adequate staffing and budgetary controls.
  • Monitor clinical operations and resident conditions, ensuring quality care is administered.
  • Obtain medications, supplies, and medical records needed to provide safe and efficient care.
  • Assist in the orientation of new personnel and monitor their skills.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, degree preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) (if state requires).
  • Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
  • Three years of nursing experience, with one year in a long-term care environment.
