This is a great opportunity with one of our clients in Colorado in search of a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to assist with their coverage needs. Our client is looking for a locum Gastroenterologist for clinic and scoping coverage during the day with night call during the week and 24 hour call on the weekends.

Key Details:

  • Active Colorado license or IMLC required
  • Board Certified required
  • LVL III Trauma Center
  • Emergency Temp Privileges available in 7-14 days
  • EMR: EPIC

Required Procedures/Duties:

  • Scoping and bread and butter GI: EGD, colonoscopy, manometry, flex sigs and 24 hour PH probe
  • Follow-through with patient if/when labs or other orders have been placed is required
  • No ERCP/EUS
  • Providers must sign all orders and notes
  • Will perform 12-16 scopes per day and if working clinic, patient will see 10-15 PPD

Scheduling Needs:

  • 7am-5pm/8am-5pm hourly/clinic, night call (5pm-7am) + 24 hour call (7am-7am)
  • Some clinic days and some procedure days
  • Weekday shifts (7am-5pm Monday - Friday)
  • Weekday Night Call (5pm-7am Monday-Friday) must include 2.5 hours gratis
  • Weekend shifts (7am-7am Saturday - Sunday) must include 4 hours gratis

Volume:

  • 12-16 Procedures scopes per day
  • 10-15 Patients per day when in clinic

Support Staff:

  • MA, NP/PA, RN
  • Anesthesiologist is on site
  • Hospitalist admits patients
