Job Title: Optical Sales Consultant

Join ABB Optical Group as an Optical Sales Consultant and play a key role in driving sales growth and revenue within our assigned territory. As a consultative sales professional, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with Eye Care Professionals, including Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, and Opticians, to promote our range of optical products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet quarterly sales objectives and achieve quota targets.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with new, potential, and established accounts to promote our products and services.
  • Manage a book of existing business, including the largest and most valuable ABB customers, to deliver the right message with the right call frequency.
  • Increase territory revenues and profit through the development of existing accounts and cold calling new account prospects from designated sources.
  • Negotiate customer service agreements and contracts to document critical terms and conditions.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with each account to review product and services that meet account needs and help customers achieve their business development goals.
  • Build and maintain positive business relationships with key office/staff personnel to provide product/service training sessions when appropriate.
  • Engage with top optical lab manufacturers and build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Track customer and prospect interactions in HubSpot (CRM) and execute marketing activities and promotions to maximize sales results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of current field-based, business-to-business related sales experience or 3 years of experience in an optical retail setting with responsibility for driving sales and meeting revenue goals.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Intermediate skills with general PC usage and applications, particularly Excel, Microsoft TEAMs, Outlook, Power Point, Word, etc.
  • Experience using Client Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience calling on Eye Care Professionals such as Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, and Opticians.
  • Experience promoting Vision Care products such as Contact Lenses, Eyeglass lenses and/or frames, or other eye health/vision related products.
  • Current territory management experience (managing a base of accounts) with a quota assignment (3+ years).
  • Demonstrated job progression in a sales or marketing role.
