Senior Academic Position in Islamic Thought Leadership

We are seeking an exceptional scholar to join our team as a senior academic in Islamic thought leadership. The successful candidate will possess a strong research background and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Job Description:The Harvard Divinity School is inviting applications for a senior academic position to lead our Islamic thought leadership initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Islamic studies, conducting research, and collaborating with students and faculty members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in Islamic studies, including courses on Sufism, literary studies, women and gender studies, and Islamic intellectual traditions.
- Conduct research in the field of Islamic thought leadership and publish scholarly articles.
- Collaborate with students and faculty members in the Divinity School's Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, and Master of Religion in Public Life programs.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a doctoral degree in a relevant field and a strong research background in Islamic studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research.
Preferred Qualifications:A strong publication record, experience in teaching and mentoring students, and a proven track record of collaborative research are highly desirable.
