DeMayo Law Offices is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support the firm's human resource processes, including employee relations and engagement, new hire orientation, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
In this key role, you will help facilitate organizational change, while being at the forefront of the firm's efforts to support the engagement and growth of its employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including the DeMayo Cares Program
- Organize and conduct new hire orientation
- Respond to benefit inquiries, including enrollments, status changes, and other general questions
- Manage post-offer through new hire processes, including background and drug screening
- Assist with change management and change communication
- Assist with terminations, including offboarding process and exit interviews
- Maintain employee e-files; process new hires, status changes, and terminations
- Assist with performance management processes, including new hire evaluations
- Project work, such as procedure documentation, employee recognition, job description reviews, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Process payroll for all employees on a biweekly basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- 5+ years' experience as an HR professional, preferably at the Generalist level
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs; experience with Paylocity HRIS a plus
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and follow-through
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle a diversity of tasks, while helping the team meet multiple deadlines
