Diesel Mechanic

As a Diesel Technician at Cummins, you will be responsible for completing diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. This role requires a strong understanding of engine products and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Completes complex internal engine repairs
Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
Maintains detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adheres to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintains own tools
Requirements:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Must be able to pass a DOT physical
May travel out of town for a week at a time
A current valid license is required for this role
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
3 years driving experience
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary rate commensurate with experience
