Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a State To State Help Desk Professional. In this role, you will provide paraprofessional program and customer service support for the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receives and reviews AAMVA system reports to ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) reporting requirements for CDLIS.
  • Verifies status of flagged records such as late submission or incomplete/inaccurate data; makes corrections where applicable and submits notification to AAMVA to document record update.
  • Assists customers with AAMVA network transactions such as suspensions, broken or duplicate pointers, and incorrect data.
  • Corresponds with other states to troubleshoot discrepancies or errors identified in transactions related to driver license restoration or issuance of driver licenses and non-driver IDs.
  • Provides technical guidance to DMV staff to assist with researching and validating information or error messages generated in the system related to AAMVA transactions.
  • Answers questions at the customer counter and on the telephone from the general public, employees, and town and city officials regarding NH motor vehicle laws and administrative rules.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with major study in business administration, public administration, management, information systems, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in customer service, business administration, public administration, management, information systems, or a related field, with responsibility for providing program information to others.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position and cannot exceed 29.5 hours per week. May be required to work a flexible schedule including, but not limited to, early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. May be required to travel throughout the State and work at various satellite offices for periods of time.
