Job Summary

Penobscot Community Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audiology Assistant to join our team. In this unique role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and families, providing exceptional customer service and technical support to the Audiology Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient service support, including greeting patients, performing check-in and check-out procedures, and answering inquiries.
  • Assist with hearing aid orders, inventory management, and supply ordering.
  • Support Audiologists with in-booth testing and provide additional support to patients as needed.
  • Perform procedure setup and breakdown/cleanup of patient care areas.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide feedback on the functionality and organization of the Audiology Lab.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant post-secondary education preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in a related role required; applicants with a closely-related Associate's or Bachelor's degree may substitute education in lieu of work experience.
  • Up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute.
