Probate Paralegal Opportunity at a Leading Probate Litigation Firm

Our client, a prominent probate litigation firm, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Probate Paralegal to join their Probate and Trust Administration department in their downtown office. If you have 3+ years of experience and a passion for probate and trust administration, we want to hear from you.

Position: Probate Paralegal
Location: Downtown Office
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 annually (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarize intake and estate planning documents.
  • Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, petitions, and judicial council forms.
  • Serve notice documents to interested parties and government agencies.
  • Analyze financial statements and prepare inventory and estate accountings.
  • Prepare real property transfer documents and related county forms.
  • Communicate and correspond with clients, opposing counsel, and formal agencies.
  • Utilize Court's online services for case docket investigation, probate notes, and local rules.
  • File documents with the Court, including e-filing and ex parte procedures.
  • Assist with administrative tasks in the office.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in probate and/or trust administration (willing to train the right candidate with civil litigation experience).
  • Basic understanding of Trust operations and probate procedures.
  • Attention to detail, especially with probate accountings and California Probate Code research.
  • CLE compliant and able to bill hourly.
  • Notary license is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with case management software (Smokeball) preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and with empathy.
