Job Summary

This Licensed Practical Nurse position is located in the Chief of Staff (Telehealth) services at the VA Medical Center in Manchester. The successful candidate will work as a mentor and preceptor, providing clinical, educational, and technical oversight and assistance to Clinical Telehealth Technicians (LPNs and HTs) within the Manchester VA Medical Center.

Responsibilities
  • Precepting, mentoring, and supporting other TCTs in clinical telehealth encounters for both patient and provider locations.
  • Functioning as an expert for telepresenters within scope of practice, functioning as an expert imager and clinical data manager for telehealth store and forward applications.
  • Overseeing the management of real-time clinical telehealth events, regularly updating established instructions for patients, and providing technical and administrative support of telehealth operations.
  • Providing expert technical support, mentorship, and precepting to end-users, overseeing the scheduling of simple and complex intra-facility and inter-facility telehealth appointments of other TCTs.
  • Supporting, mentoring, and precepting for all TCTs with installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting technology, installing VA mobile health applications, configuring, and troubleshooting VA mobile health applications and equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
  • Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Connected Care service.
Preferred Experience

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Compressed/Flexible: ADHOC Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Available. Telework: Not Available. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
