Job Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team as a Therapeutic Services Specialist. As a member of our community services team, you will provide therapeutic day treatment, home-based, mentoring, or other community services to clients as assigned.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing Behavioral Interventions: You will provide and document all required behavioral and mental health interventions as outlined in the client's Individualized Services Plan (ISP) and by funding source.
- Clinical Consultation: Receive routine clinical consultation/supervision regarding community services from a licensed mental health professional (LMHP), resident, or supervisee, as identified by Elk Hill.
- Face-to-Face Assessments: Conduct face-to-face assessments with clients as assigned and receive clinical review of each assessment by an LMHP.
- Documentation: Provide and document all needed therapies and services as required in a client's service plan, as well as documentation required to obtain and maintain services for the client.
- Supervision and Training: Participate in all required supervision and trainings.
- Board Certification: Maintain Board of Counseling certification as a QMHP-C or QMHP-Trainee and provide a copy of yearly certificate to Elk Hill Human Resources.
- Sensitivity and Flexibility: Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of clients, flexibility, a non-threatening manner, respect for clients' autonomy, confidentiality, socio-cultural values, personal goals, lifestyle choices, and family interactions, and appropriate professional boundaries and ethics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is required.
- Certification: Certification by the Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child or Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee OR education and experience that meet the current certification requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child or Trainee is required.
- Experience: Home-based, therapeutic day treatment, or other community-based service and Medicaid experience is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and without direct supervision is required.
- Integrity: Exhibit consistent personal integrity in dealings with clients, families, co-workers, and community agencies.
- Organizational Skills: High level of organizational skills is necessary.
- Travel and Scheduling: Willingness to travel and possibly work non-traditional business hours is required.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role is between $39,000 and $42,000 per year, offering a competitive compensation package along with benefits such as pet insurance for full-time staff, a generous time-off and holiday package, and a 401(k) plan with 5% employer match.
