Facilities Maintenance Associate

SGA Talent is seeking a skilled Porter and Cleaning Specialist to join our team in Bennington, VT. As a key member of our hospitality-focused staffing group, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency of our locations.
Job Overview:As a Porter and Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our employees, clients, and visitors. This includes maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the premises, performing routine cleaning tasks, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and events.
Responsibilities:- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste materials.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and events.
- Monitor and restock supplies in various areas, including restrooms and breakrooms.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate with colleagues and follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Must have weekend availability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or related roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive tasks.
