Job Summary

Graycor is seeking a seasoned Estimator Leader to oversee a subgroup of estimators specializing in self-perform construction. This role is crucial in ensuring continuity of work with current clients, acquiring new contracts, and generating revenue and overhead contributions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Regional General Managers to evaluate and pursue opportunities, develop plans to secure contracts, and assign resources for pricing.
  • Collaborate with Operations to drive compliance with best practices and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the Self-Perform group, with a focus on steel erection, equipment setting, and piping installation for projects in the energy transition, gas infrastructure, steelmaking, and manufacturing sectors.
  • Foster a results-driven work environment, engage in the development of estimators, and promote continuous improvement within the business.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial construction, involving proposal development or project execution in a self-perform environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with an emphasis on piping estimation a plus.
  • Familiarity with guaranteed maximum and lump sum competitive bid environments.
  • Strong written and communication skills, with well-developed proposal presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs.
