{"h1": "Mathematics Academic Coach", "p": "At Waukesha County Technical College, we are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Academic Coach to join our team. As a Mathematics Academic Coach, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality academic coaching services to students in need of additional assistance in Mathematics. Your expertise will help students understand and master course content, assignments, and projects, while also developing effective study techniques, time management, note taking, test preparation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

* Provide academic coaching services to students in Mathematics, assisting students in understanding and mastering course content, assignments, and projects
* Assist students in developing effective study techniques, time management, note taking, test preparation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Familiarize students with available educational resources, including the library, online materials, and academic support services
* Refer students to appropriate campus resources, such as academic advisors, career services, or counseling
* Provide communication and feedback to instructors and academic support staff regarding student progress and common areas of difficulty
* Stay current with effective academic coaching techniques, specific discipline content, and pedagogical trends
* Provide assistance in training new coaches
* May assist with program recruitment efforts, such as semi-annual Open Houses events

Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of Mathematics on at least a baccalaureate level
* Understanding of pedagogy and knowledge of working with students with learning differences
* Ability to work effectively with students, both in one-on-one and group instruction situations
* Ability to think critically and apply problem-solving practices
* Effective interpersonal communication skills, including oral, written, technical, and non-technical information, and listening
* Strong customer service skills, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
* Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and/or with minimal supervision
* Basic level of proficiency with computer software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and/or publishing, and learning management systems
