Job Summary

The Town of Groton is seeking a highly skilled PC/Network Support Specialist II to provide technical support for town employees and departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line and advanced technical support for town employees and departments
  • Install new hardware and applications
  • Create and maintain IT documentation
  • Assist and guide users with the operation of computers, laptops, phones, and other hardware
  • Update the town website
  • Work closely with outside vendors and support
  • Perform related work as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Two years of experience in information technology or five years of experience with a technical school
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Desktop OS and MS Office Product Suite
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with PowerShell, VBS, or other scripting languages preferred
  • Municipal experience desirable
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License required
