Mental Health Professional: Denver County Jail Women's Unit

Mental Health Professional conducts trauma education groups, basic intakes, comprehensive intakes (biopsychosocial assessments) and trauma assessments in a recovery unit in Denver County Jail.
Responsibilities:
Conducts trauma education groups and comprehensive intakes (biopsychosocial assessments) in a recovery unit in Denver County Jail
Facilitates and co-facilitates groups addressing trauma and substance use disorder with women incarcerated in Denver County Jail
Creates participant-driven treatment and transition plans
Provides brief therapy, care management and transition planning services for women incarcerated in the Denver County Jail
Administers informed consent forms, disclosure statements and assessments
Enters data in compliance with JBBS and OBH standards
Identifies and connects participants with appropriate referrals to community mental health and supportive services providers
Requirements:
Must be licensed (LAC, LPC, LCSW, CAC III) or, on a case-by-case basis, working towards licensure with provided learning plan, and in good standing with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance
Working understanding of harm reduction theory and trauma-informed services
Experience working with a diverse population with behavioral health needs
