Critical Care Nurse

About the Role
Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Float team. As a critical care nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care in a variety of acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Carry out physician orders in the critical care setting, utilizing critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to prioritize patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating patient responses to interventions.
- Participate in the orientation of new personnel, attend weekly team meetings, and contribute to the development of unit and departmental goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, demonstrating empathy and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Hampshire or active RN Compact State License
- 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred
- BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS)
- ACLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS)
