About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with plastics expertise to join our dynamic team in Cambridge, MA, USA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, designing, troubleshooting manufacturing SOPs, and microfluidics-based systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design mechanical systems and components using CAD software and Solidworks
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and optimize processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies
  • Maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME or equivalent preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design and plastics engineering
  • Proven track record of working with medical devices and disposables
  • Familiarity with ISO13485 and 14971 regulations
  • Experience with process capability and SPC methodologies
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, ultrasonic welding, etc.
