Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team at Indus Hospitality Group. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized supply cart and ensure that all necessary cleaning supplies are readily available.
  • Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens, and replenish guest room supplies as needed.
  • Change linen and make beds, and ensure that all guest rooms are clean and tidy.
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, and ensure that all bathroom amenities are restocked.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Vacuum carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, and move furniture as needed to ensure that all areas are accessible and clean.
  • Replenish guest room supplies, including bathroom amenities and writing supplies, and ensure that all guest rooms are well-stocked.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report any deficiencies to management.
  • Clean lobby, lounge, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways as assigned, and replace light bulbs as needed.
Requirements
  • Up to one month related experience or training; less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to add and subtract numbers up to 100.
Working Conditions

The associate will work in an environment open to the general public and will be exposed to chemicals, dust, and odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
