Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site surveys of existing fire sprinkler systems with accuracy
  • Draw systems in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible
  • Learn and run hydraulic calculations (HydraCalc)
  • Learn and run then check stock listing for fabrication of new fire sprinkler systems (HydraList)
  • Request plans and information from General Contractors and Architects
  • Build product data submittals

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years design experience using AutoCAD is required
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Must be comfortable asking questions
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints
  • Prior experience using HydraCalc is a plus

Preferred Background:

  • Previous construction experience is a plus
  • A degree in Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design would be an acceptable alternative to on-the-job design experience
